GFF wins in Bilbao
GFF was awarded the first prize in Bilbao both from the official jury and the public vote!
GFF impressed the jury and Bilbao audience with it's elegant and well-timed show. It was the 21st edition of the Bilbao int'l fireworks competition and 5 well renowned companies took part.
Audiences in Spain are often fond of loud fireworks and GFF had to some degree adapted to this - hundreds of salute shells were included in the show as well as "relampagos" - coloured flash report shells. But still the clean and elegant design was maintained - no multcoloured mess.
The victory in Bilbao has stirred up some attention in Spain and elsewhere. We at GFF are pleased to at last win a competition in a mediterranean country, where it's usually hard to beat the locals. We have been awarded three silver medals before, in Rome, San Sebastian and Tarragona.
Besides the official first prize we were awarded the 1st prize of the public vote. "Doble premio para Göteborgs - Jurado oficial y premio del publico!"
With these two gold medals GFF has amassed 24 first prizes so far.
