Silver medal in Tarragona
GFF took an hounorable second prize in the grand firework competition in Terragona
Göteborgs FyrverkeriFabrik competed in the city of Tarragona on Spain's east coast in early July. We managed to grab a silver medal in fierce competition with Portuguese, Spanish, German and Italian companies. Only the bombastic Italian show managed to get ahead of us in the score table. Our show was described as "Elegancia Sueca", Swedish elegance, in a review.
The statue "Venus de Taragona" has been added to our prize collection.
The show was a collaboration with the Norwegian company Engelsrud-NFI, who helped us a lot with the rigging, transport and other aspects of the show.
We were a total of 15 scandinavians on site to rig the fireworks, including several volunteers who made their way to Tarragona on their own expense. A big thanks to all who helped in Tarragona and back home to make both the competition show and the homefront work out well!!
