GFF has been selected among a large number of companies to take part in the fireworks competition of Tarragona, July 2008.
Tarragona, in Catalonia on Spain's east coast, has one of Europe's biggest and most famous fireworks competitions. 6 shows on 6 consecutive days will be fired and judged by an expert jury as well as by spectators voting on the internet.
öteborgs Fireworks Factory will shoot the first show in the competition, on july 7th. If it's good to shoot first or not can be debated, but we will do our best to create an intense, exciting, varied show that will last in the memories of the jury all week long.
We have only taken part in pyromusical competitions for some years, and now it feels like a real challenge to do a traditional display without music again. Still, the show will be fired by computer and therefore will be very precisely choreographed, just like a pyromusical has to be.

10th JULY: MACEDO'S PIROCTECNIA, Serrinha-Lixa, Portugal.
11th JULY: A.P.E. DI PARENTE ROMUALDO SPETTACOLI PIROTECNI, Bergantino, Itàlia.
12th JULY: ASTONDOA PIROTEKNIA, Areatza-Villaro, Biscaia, País Basc, Spain.
There are numerous prizes and awards in the competition, including cash prizes and show contracts at a value of more than 50.000 Euro.
